Yin & Yang: Mandala of Life

Log Line

When Elder Monk gives guidance to Yin and Yang, how they employ his guidance in a challenge and its outcome will be up to them

Synopsis

Yin and Yang have always been in some form of conflict that has finally come to a head with Yang issuing a challenge to Yin.  Because of the upcoming confrontation, they both approach Elder Monk about their options in handling the challenge.

When the two of them seek out guidance from Elder Monk, in preparation of the challenge, he tells them that they need to use their "breath" as they "breathe" through the challenge because when they do that, they will gain the answer they need to hear.

With Elder Monk words of advice on their minds, when the challenge commences, Yin and Yang use their understanding of themselves, to listen and hear what the other one has to say only to find out that it's a conversation that Elder Monk is having with himself.

The Back Story

The script was written in response to world events as well as our interactions with one another. Growing up, I became interested in and wondered what the Taoist symbol Yin-Yang would say if they could talk to each other, considering what they represent.

World events galvanized me to write one of many conversations that I envisioned them having.  Their conversation takes many forms and is multi-layered.
